2019 December - Bridging the Gap - Collecting Food for Glastonbury Food Bank
Melhuish & Saunders spearheaded a Reverse Advent Calendar campaign this month collecting food for Glastonbury Food Bank.
The campaign was supported by others in Landmark House who made donations of food to help those less fortunate in the local community. Grace Church, WCBS, Somerset FA and Melhuish & Saunders combined forces and Melhuish & Saunders were pleased to be able to hand over the proceeds on their behalf to Michael and Jaqueline of Bridging The Gap (Food Bank). They met at Morrisons collection point and the items were immediately loaded straight away (in the pouring rain!!) into a volunteer's car for delivery.
Michael's parting words were 'Please remember that we still need more donations in the New Year - the need for food donations does not stop at Christmas'.

2019 October - SOS Africa Charity Abseil by Site Manager, Nick Cowie
Site Manager - Nick Cowie, who recently celebrated his first year with Melhuish & Saunders, took on a new challenge!
Nick and partner, Eloise, scaled the heights of Wells Cathedral on October 6th 2019.
Nick and Eloise abseiled the equivalent of 9 Giraffes from the top of the North West Tower of Wells Cathedral to raise funds for SOS Africa! Sponsorship support was much appreciated! £315 raised, exceeding their target by 57%
Well done Nick!
The SOS Africa Children’s Charity (UK Charity No. 1105747) is a small UK based grassroots child sponsorship organisation which invests 100% of the funds your raise in the education and care of South African children. Since 2003 they have provided 107 disadvantaged children, from grades 1 to 12, with a personal education programme or learning support scheme tailored specifically to their needs. This holistic approach enables children to break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential.
2019 September - World's Biggest Coffee Morning
Staff at Melhuish & Saunders Head Office in Glastonbury decided to support this year's Macmillan annual fundraising event the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning'.
Neighbouring organisations were invited from Landmark House:
MHA Monahan, Somerset FA, WCBS, Grace Church and Firecrest.
We all shared cake and took the opportunity to catch up with our various businesses and met some new friendly faces!
This was a great opportunity to take a little 'time out' and support a good cause.
We look forward to the same again next year!
