Description of works
The works consisted of constructing a New 3 storey Girls Boarding house for St Mary's School, Calne.The Building is of a steelframe construction built off a pile foundation with groundbeams connecting them. The groundfloor is constructed of Block & beam with the upperfloors being constructed of of pre-cast concrete planks. The superstructure of the building is of an airtight metsec cladding system with aluminium windows & doors. the building will house approximately 50 girls and incorporates kitchen, linen rooms, bathrooms, common rooms and housemitresses accomodations.
