Melhuish & Saunders Ltd has been established since 1923 and has over the years become a respectable and highly creditable building contractor completing numerous contracts throughout the South West; offering a variety of services to an increasing number of architects and clients each year.
The Company's Head office is based in Glastonbury and operates within a 60 mile radius, allowing us to complete contracts in Somerset, Devon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset. However, projects further away will always be given due consideration.
The company has the ability and resources to undertake all types of construction from complex refurbishment in occupied and unoccupied premises, extensive new builds in modern and traditional styles, extensions to occupied buildings, Industrial and Commercial units, Schools and Health care work for Local Authorities and Health Authorities.
The Company undertakes all types of construction from minor to major projects to a value in excess of £3m, throughout the Southwest. Design & Build projects are undertaken using a specialist team of professionals, for any specific project.
The Company has its own Joinery Department allowing us to supply a high percentage of our Joinery requirement and ensuring it is of the best quality and at competitive rates.
We have had and still continue to have repeat business for numerous clients following the successful completion of previous projects undertaken.
Three directors head the company:
John Mitchard -
is the Managing Director and oversees all activities with in the company.
Darryl Mitchard -
is the Contracts Director and Health & Safety Director and oversees all contracts undertaken, along with all aspects of Health & Safety within the company.
Clive Pell -
is the Company Secretary and Surveying Director, overseeing the Estimating Department and Buying Department
