Melhuish & Saunders Ltd was established in 1923 and has built up an excellent reputation as a highly creditable building contractor. Each year we complete several contracts throughout the South West and offer a wide variety of services to an increasing number of architects and clients.
We are based in Glastonbury, Somerset and operate within a 60 mile radius, allowing us to complete contracts in Somerset, Devon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset. However, projects further afield will always be given consideration.
Melhuish & Saunders Ltd has the ability and resources to undertake all types of construction work, including complex refurbishment in occupied and unoccupied premises, extensive new builds in modern and traditional styles, extensions to occupied buildings, Industrial and Commercial units, and Schools and Health Care work for Local Authorities and Health Authorities.
We undertake all types of construction work from minor to major projects, to a value in excess of £3m. Design & Build projects are undertaken using a specialist team of professionals.
Melhuish & Saunders Ltd has its own Joinery Department, which allows us to supply a high percentage of our Joinery requirements. It also ensures that our products are of the highest quality and available at competitive rates.
We have had and continue to have repeat business from a number of clients following the successful completion of projects undertaken.
Three directors head the company:
John Mitchard -
is the Managing Director and oversees all activities within the company.
Darryl Mitchard -
is the Contracts Director and Health & Safety Director and oversees all contracts undertaken, along with all aspects of Health & Safety within the company.
Clive Pell -
is the Company Secretary and Surveying Director, overseeing the Estimating Department and Buying Department
